Mont Gargan

Peaking at 731 m and 2 ims from Surdoux Serenite on the  boundary of the Haute-Vienne, Mont Gargan  offers visitors its natural, cultural and historical wealth:heathlands, peat bogs, centuries-old beech avenue or 19th-century religious remains are all to see along a discovery trail: the remains of the Notre Dame de Bon Secours chapel, the fountain of devotions, the memorial stone commemorating acts by the Resistance.

Mont Gargan has been listed nationally as a natural monument site. It is also an important landscape of the Millevaches in the Limousin Regional Nature Park.

Emblematic site of the fight against Nazi occupation, the wind that blows between the stones still whispers the "Song of the Partisans".
